Vancouver Foundation is dedicated to creating healthy, vibrant and livable communities across British Columbia. The Foundation does this by connecting the generosity of donors with the energy, ideas and time of people in the community. From arts and culture to the environment, health and social development, education, medical research and more, Vancouver Foundation exists to make meaningful and lasting improvements to communities in BC.
In addition to broad funding, Vancouver Foundation also focuses additional energy and resources on key initiatives that engage young people whose pathways to success are blocked by our existing system of public policies, practices and community connections. Vancouver Foundation is a proud partner in the Fresh Voices initiative to make B.C. a better place for young immigrants and refugees.

Since 2007, British Columbia’s Representative for Children and Youth has supported our province’s young people and their families in dealing with the provincial child and youth welfare system.
The Representative also provides oversight to this system and makes recommendations to improve it. The Representative is a non-partisan, independent officer of the Legislature, reporting directly to the Legislative Assembly and not a government ministry.
