Regina Valverde (Co-Chair)

Regina was born in Peru, and she came to Canada in 2010 with her parents. She is a first-year student at SFU, and her major is International Relations. Regina is devoted to helping out in her community and participating in as many volunteer opportunities as she can. Volleyball is her favourite sport, although she also enjoys sitting at home cuddling, and watching Netflix or reading novels by Jules Verne. She joined Fresh Voices after the YAG 2015 summit, to be able to have her voice heard, and to be able to make a difference in the world. She also has a passion for learning about different cultures which is what drew her into the Fresh Voices team. Her dream for the future is to work with the UN and travel around the world.
